Study of Newcastle Disease Virus as an Immunostimulatory Agent for Anticancer Effect

Introduction: Ineffective response of conventional therapies for the treatment cancer has dictated search new strategies.Emerging mode therapy likeoncolytic virotherapy employs oncolytic viruses (OVs) like Newcastle disease virus which can selectively kill cells through direct lysis and also trigger a potent anti-tumor immune response. Aim: To study immunostimulatory effect NDV9B on cell lines MCF 7, MDA MB-231, A549, PC3, normal HEK-293 line. Methodology: UV inactivated HAU 10 20was used to infect human PBMC. Post infection stimulation cytokine IFN-α, IFN-γ TRAIL was quantified using ELISA. These activated PBMC co-cultured with control check tumor neutralization activity. Results: triggered cytokines secretion in PBMCs. The concentration IFNγ, TRAIL/ TNFSF10 found be 239.57 pg/mL, 14.68 61.17 pg/mL respectively infected 20 HAU. Activated PBMCs when co cultured showed maximum cytotoxicity 11.75 % MB231 Conclusion: stimulate these successfully brought about low level cytopathic MB231.
